    Event description

    Once Upon a Time...

Our ANU History Reading Group is starting in the Fall of 2024. Initially conceived by Ann-Sophie Levidis, lecturer in French Studies, the ANU Reading Group will take place at Harry Hartog.

    How does it work?

The readings for the first semester have been pre-planned and will be based on five different books. Following that, we have scheduled monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of each month, from 2 to 3 pm. The second scheduled event is 15th of May 2024

The Revolutionary Temper Paris, 1748–1789 by Robert Darnton RRP $65.00

What sorts of books do you read?

We do not have any strict rules, but we usually prefer to read academic books recently published and recommended to us. Being part of a reading group allows us to explore and enjoy books we would not have considered otherwise.

    Can I join?

If you are interested in joining, please don't hesitate to contact us and RSVP to this invitation.

Scheduled upcoming dates to be promoted individually.

    • 28th May: Beauty Is in the Street: Protest and Counterculture in Post-War Europe by Joachim C. Häberlen $79.99
