ANU Multimedia Meet Up - May 2026
Description
An invitation to ANU Education support staff, ANU academics and any professional staff who are interested in multimedia content production.
Our first meet up for 2026 will offer an opportunity for us to reconnect after recent changes to centralised support services, showcase our Studio Spaces, and offer a hands on workshop on AI automation for your workflow.
We'll start at our Baldessin Education Studio, where we'll update you on what support and resources are available to help you create education and other multimedia content at ANU. We are also interested in hearing form attendees about their current needs.
After this update there will be a short hands on workshop/demonstration focused on using Power Automate and Copilot AI in workflow (details below).
Finally, we'll make our way to the Peter Baume Building to showcase the Science Photography Studio, and if we have time we'll also be able to show you the Lightboard and Podcast Studio in Skaidrite Darius Building.
These events are aimed to foster networking and collaboration and support between multimedia staff and education support staff/academics at ANU.
We are particularly keen on showing the studio spaces available to any staff in education support roles and to academics who are interested in flipping their classrooms and pre-recording lecture content - however it's open to any staff working in communications, marketing and academic or support roles. If you are interested in attending or running a short workshop - come along and join us in this evolving community of practice.
While there continue to be major shifts at ANU in 2026 we plan on continuing to host meet ups in the same space (Baldessin Education Studio) associated with the ANU Multimedia Exchange (Teams channel) and to use these events foster networking and collaboration and support between multimedia staff and education support staff/academics at ANU.
AUTOMATION + WORKFLOW WORKSHOP
Want to see how Power Automate and Copilot AI can make everyday work easier? Join this short workshop to explore practical examples of how we’re using these tools to improve workflow efficiency across routine tasks — from reading and summarising emails, to processing multimedia requests. The session will give a quick look at what we’re doing, what these tools can help with, and where similar approaches could support your own workflow.
