    Event description

(If you are a Bla(c)k Woman and/or Woman of Colour and the above rates are inaccessible for you, please register for our waiting list to receive a “Pay It Forward” ticket. This event warmly welcomes everyone including mothers - there is a parent's room on the premises should you need to bring your baby/child)

Do you identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Woman? A Black Woman? A Woman of Colour? An Ally or Co-Conspirator who wants to support the above?

Do you come up with clever ideas that you know could make a positive change, whether in one person’s life or the world?

BUT - you don’t know what to do next? Plus you don’t really relate to the people out there who are starting a business or a startup?

    Guess what:

You’re still an entrepreneur and there’s a whole community who you can relate to and they’re here to create a new type of ecosystem where the face of an entrepreneur looks just like yours.

INTRODUCING ANYONE CAN - THE COUNTRY’S FIRST STARTUP COMMUNITY PROGRAM 100% BY AND FOR BLA(C)K WOMEN AND WOMEN OF COLOUR

Following last year’s hugely successful Curious About Culture Festival attended by over 500 people, The Creative Co-Operative is back with another magical event for 2022.

We are delighted to be officially launching Anyone Can on the evening of 24 March 2022 in Melbourne’s CBD (99 tickets available for COVID safety).

    What to expect:

Start the night off by meeting the incredible and supportive Bla(c)k Women and Women of Colour in the startup community, over drinks and nibbles before we hear from our speakers.

We will share more about our 8 week program starting in May, which will create a psychologically-safe space for Bla(c)k Women and Women of Colour to access 101 startup education and be set up for success to access and advance in the ecosystem.

Kylie Bryant, a key supporter of the innovation ecosystem and is the Chief Operating Officer, Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources (DISER), will share a speech to officially open the program.

Next, we’re going to be sharing the insights of our highly anticipated and ground-breaking research into the state of the ecosystem for Bla(c)k Women and Women of Colour founders in Australia. This will be discussed by our panel of trailblazing Bla(c)k Women and Women of Colour who have started a startup, scaled a startup or invested in one. In addition, a Co-Conspirator who has actively created space to support BIWOC founders. We’ll be hearing all about their complex and inspiring stories on how they got to where they are today as well as what’s next.

We’ll finish up the night with more community connection over Start Up Trivia! And to answer your question, OF COURSE there will be prizes. But everyone’s a winner because your admission comes with a complimentary gift bag. *Limited quantities available.

Grab your ticket now. It's not just an event. It's an opportunity to be a part of history in the making because our time is here and it's now. See you on the 24th.
