ANZAC TO LABOUR DAY CRUISE

Saturday 24th

Make your way to Deanbilla Bay for overnight anchorage.

Meet ashore for BYO drinks and nibbles. HW @ 19:56

Attend ANZAC Day commemoration at Dunwich RSL Club. 23 Mallon Street. Dawn will be at 05:44   OR  

Observe 2 minutes silence standing on foredeck of your boat.

Red or Blue ensigns to be flown at half mast until 12 noon.

Up anchor and proceed 34NM to Pumestone Passage, pass under the Bribie Island Bridge 5.0 HAT. ETA approx 15:00, Bridge Clearance estimated at 6.8m. LW at Bribie Bridge @ 15:30 of 0.21m. Proceed 1.8 NM to anchorage at Banksia Beach.

Meet ashore for BYO drinks and nibbles or Fish and Chips at Bellara.

NB Taller vessels that will not fit under the bridge will make a diversion to South of bridge/ MBBC/ Tangalooma and reunite at the Little Sand Hills.

Monday 26th

Explore Banksia Beach /Bribie / Sandstone Point.

Meet ashore for BYO drinks and nibbles or Fish and Chips at Bellara.

Tuesday 27th

Up anchor and proceed in convoy to Mission Point for overnight stay. 5.5NM

Meet ashore for drinks and nibbles. Wood fired BBQ’s (TBC).

Wednesday 28th

Up anchor and proceed to Banksia Beach / Bellara for overnight stay 5.4NM

Meet ashore for lunch at Sandstone Point Hotel.

Thursday 29th

Up anchor and proceed under the Bribie Island Bridge 5.0 HAT, LW @ 05:37 of 0.39,HW 11:29 of 1.66m. Bridge Clearance estimated at 5.8m at 9am. Cross Moreton Bay to Little Sand Hills (Moreton Island) 23NM

Meet on other vessels for drinks and nibbles.

Vessels return to home ports at their leisure.

An entry fee of $10 is payable upon registration for the cruise.
