AOC Fieldtrip: Collins Road Excursion
Event description
Join expert guides from the BirdLife WA branch on an excursion to this delightful patch of Wandoo woodland. The site rings with the calls of Rufous Treecreeper, and it is thought to be the closest breeding site to Perth of Blue-breasted Fairy-wren. Frequently seen birds include: Western Shrike-tit, Red-capped Parrot, Western Rosella, Western Yellow Robin and Gilbert's Honeyeater.
Although the relatively open structure of Wandoo woodland makes it excellent for bird viewing, vegetation can still be scratchy and you will be traversing loose, uneven surfaces. Please consider your own abilities and your attire for this excursion.
