Aorangi Rural Wellbeing Night
Event description
NZ Young Farmers thanks to funding from Ministry of Primary Industries is committed to help improve the wellbeing of young people in rural communities.
The Aorangi Region is proud to be hosting a rural wellbeing night with 3 fantastic guest speakers guaranteed to have you entertained and inspired:
- Tangaroa Walker - Southland farmer and creator of Farm 4 Life
- Doug Avery - Marlborough farmer and author of "The Resilient Farmer"
- 'Pup' Chamberlain - hard to write succinctly, but his decorated life includes 38 years with the NZ Police, National Director of D.A.R.E., Wellbeing Community Chair with the Mid-Canterbury Rural Support Trust and Suicide Prevention Coordinator with "Lives Worth Living".
It is being held at the Timaru Town & Country Club with a start time of 7pm. The bar will be open and snacks provided.
This event is FREE but venue size means there is a limit on the number of people who can attend so please grab a ticket to reserve your spot.
Everyone is welcome, no matter your age (you don’t need to be a young farmer)!
