***ARTY’S PARTY No 7***
Join us for an unforgettable evening of laughter, music, poetry and compassion as we celebrate National Animal Rights Day and raise vital funds for the animals rescued by Arty’s Angels and their sanctuary partners. We’ve got a stunning line-up of talent tonight, featuring the inspirational Vegan Queen V, an internationally renowned musician and activist whose songs of love, freedom, and change will touch your heart. Prepare to laugh out loud with the sharp, honest comedy of Amy Albright, Kie Carson, and Mick Tickner, and enjoy the wonderfully imaginative character comedy of Gary Morris. We’re also bringing you the spirit-lifting sounds of Dr. Jaxon’s Elixir Of Life, and the unique poetic wit of Paul Holroyd.
Every laugh, every cheer, and every donation tonight helps support the hundreds of animals rescued from slaughter, while honouring the spirit of National Animal Rights Day. So bring your biggest smiles, open hearts — and if you can, open wallets — to make a real difference. Let’s come together to celebrate compassion, and make this a night to remember!
Bums on seats at 19.30pm.
We have an amazing line up of comedy and music for this event with :-)
Vegan Queen V
Jen Armstrong, also know as ‘Vegan Queen V’ began her love affair with music when learning to play the classical violin at just 7 years old. Aged 12, she was composing and performing her own songs on piano, which she pursued to university level graduating with a BA (1st class hons). She went on to earn a Masters degree in music performance and stayed on at the university as a vocal tutor.
Jen has had a varied career as a professional musician and songwriter, supporting artists such as The Proclaimers, Billy Ocean, The Vaccines, Smokie, Nerina Pallot and Patrick Wolfe. She has performed at the London Palladium, Shepherd’s Bush Empire, York Barbican and many other prestigious stages. She has toured China, America and Europe, and her songs have been used on American TV shows such as ‘Dance Moms’ and ‘Young and the Restless.’ She has songwriting credits with many global artists, including a Platinum selling record in Europe.
Jen’s vegan journey began in 2016, whilst living and working in London as a resident piano vocalist in one of the city’s most infamous music venues ‘The Piano Works’. As a passionate animal lover, she finally realised the hidden truth of the meat, egg and dairy industries. Her artistry took on a new life as an animal rights singer-songwriter. She began focusing on performance to help liberate animals from the suffering and injustice they face in global society.
Her mission to share messages of truth, compassion and freedom through her music also led to writing and campaigning for human rights alongside her animal activism work.
May 2022 saw the release of her first album, ‘Freedom Warrior’ followed by her highly anticipated second album ‘In Dog We Trust’ released October 2024.
In May 2025 Vegan Queen V will launch an incredible new project: The Animal Rights Choir (ARC) an international effort bringing people from all walks of life to sing together, songs of love, compassion and change for a better world.
You can witness ARC and this inspiring artist at many events and festivals around the UK and Europe this summer.
Amy Albright
Brimming with justifiable confidence Amy Albright's infectious energy, quick wit, and knack for storytelling has been winning over audiences up and down the country and abroad. Her unique style of comedy blends sharp observational humour and expert storytelling to feel like a brutally honest, but hilarious, chat with a friend.
"Endearing, brazen and razor-sharp" Cottingham Comedy Club
"Definitely a bright future ahead" Cat & Stick Comedy
Kie Carson
A rising star from Liverpool, captivates audiences with his "natural energy and enthusiasm" (The Stand). His charm and openness have earned him praise as "extremely likeable, relevant, and very funny," (Nodding Dog) making him a "one to watch" in the comedy world. "A promising, original and intelligent, young upcoming act" (Funhouse Comedy).
Mick Tickner
Mick has been performing in the North of England for the last year bringing a mixture of hilarious everyday observations and downright silliness. An unhealthy Vegan for 10 years, Mick knows his chickpeas from his butter beans.
“Kind, inclusive and gentlemanly, Mick brings a new level of authority to daftness, with deft writing and performance skills. Keep an eye out for him: he’s in the ascendant, and that is a good thing for comedy.” - Paul ‘Silky’ White
“Mick is a great comedian and also a lovely one.” - Short For Change.
Gary Morris
The co-founder (and one entire fourth) of the character-cabaret team 'Slaughterhouse Live', Gary Morris has been performing character comedy for over twenty years and has entertained literally numbers of people with creations such as the children's author Beryl Haines, War Poet 2nd Lieutenant Walter Melons and PowerPoint-crazed lifestyle guru Dave Media. His performance style was one described by The List magazine as "pulsating with enough anarchic energy to power a small European principality."
Dr. Jaxon's Elixir Of Life
Dr. Jaxon’s Elixir Of Life is one man, one guitar, and a band in a box presenting a fine collection of Songs of Love and Rebellion that will get your spirit lifted, your toes tapping, and help to make your day a little brighter too.
Paul Holroyd
Paul Holroyd is NOT a comedian! He's a poet although some of his poetry could be called 'laughable'. He's best k own within the vegan community for his animal rights poems from the book series "GreenBeard's Vegan Verse", none of these poems could be considered funny. Luckily he does attempt other poetic subjects and although many of the ones he intends to be funny turn out quite sad he does fluke a few. It will be the 'funny flukes' you will be subjected to on the night.
Why we are doing this.
In December 2023 Arty's Angels, a wonderful group of animal activists and sanctuaries, rescued 268 farm animals that were destined for the slaughter house. All the sanctuaries did an incredible job to bring them into their care, but now they have a lot of new mouths to feed. All profits from the show and any donations raised will be passed on to these amazing places to help them keep up the dedicated work they do. So please come with lots of cash, credit cards and big hearts. You can also support them directly at :-
