The main event, with three epic days of workshops, hands-on activities, discussions, keynote presentations and social activities.

A diverse three-day program of talks, workshops and hands-on activities, led by inspiring permaculture educators from around Australia and beyond
Saturday & Sunday: morning tea/lunch/dinner

Our award-winning caterer sources food locally, sustainably and ethically, so you know what you're eating is making a difference with every bite. Dietary requirements are catered for but must be stated when buying a ticket.

Children and Teens

We welcome children and families at the Convergence.

Under-5s enter free, whilst parents of 5-12-year-olds (children) and 13-19-year-olds (teens) are charged a modest contribution to cover food and materials for workshops.

Children and teens are welcome to all main program activities. We ask that they are supervised as required and not too distracting for other participants.

We are developing a creative program of activities led by inspiring permaculture educators from around the country for both our children's and teen's programs.

Under 4s can get involved if they’re accompanied by their adult at all times.

Venue and accommodation

The venue is Mt Barker Waldorf School - situated on expansive grounds in a peaceful, semi-rural environment on the outskirts of the Mount Barker township in the Adelaide Hills, just over half an hour's drive from the city. We have limited tent sites and camper van parking available - this will be offered on a first-in basis. For non-campers, there are local options in the surrounding area including cabins at the Mount Barker Caravan Park and Airbnb.

Finances

The main source of income for the APC is ticket sales, which have been set on a break-even basis. If we attract further funding, it may be possible to offer subsidised places for people on low incomes. We welcome offers to collaborate on fundraising, and encourage session organisers and other participants to be proactive in seeking institutional and/or third party support.
