The APEN Roadshow is a series of workshops in a range of different locations offered to APEN members and other interested attendees.
The theme for this years’ Roadshow is “Getting the most out of a mentoring relationship” with the day based around the value of connection, sharing and learning from others.
Mentoring is something we all experience either formally or informally in our professional and personal lives so ensuring we have the skills and understanding of what makes a successful mentoring relationship will guarantee it’s a worthwhile experience with tangible outcome for both parties.

Facilitator Maree Gooch:
Maree Gooch has a wealth of experience and specialises in facilitation, designing and delivering mentoring programs since 2009, consulting in strategic business development, governance and training. With over 35 years’ experience facilitating and working with organisations, teams and communities to deliver stakeholder engagement and strategic business planning services. Maree is passionate about strategy, extension, business transformation and people development. Maree has been involved as a mentor in a variety of mentoring programs since 2009 across Australia and has codesigned impactful and highly successful mentoring programs for private companies, industry associations, government agencies across a variety of industry sectors.
Facilitator Ann Maree O’ Callaghan:
Ann Maree is a highly experienced rural business consultant, mentor, researcher, and stakeholder engagement professional. She is in demand for her business mentoring, facilitation, strategic development, research, report writing and collaboration skills. Ann Maree consistently delivers targeted outcomes and has worked on numerous major industry, community, and government partnership projects across rural and regional Australia. Ann Maree has worked with and coached a variety of different kinds of Broadacre producers in Carnarvon, Manjimup, and Wanneroo. Her EMBA thesis was focusing on developing and scaling up a Broadacre operation growing Gubbinge (sometimes known as Kakadu Plum) on a commercial scale. Ann Maree’s natural style is practical and pragmatic, seeking and guiding clients to their desired personal and business outcomes and ultimately business profitability. She has a talent for venture creation and business transformation and has inspired the owners and founders of over 500 regional businesses to reach their goals. Ann Maree sits on the Board of Management for the Food, Fibre & Timber Industries Training Council (WA) Inc and the WA Marathon Club. She is an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of WA and is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Ag Institute of Australia, and the Australasia-Pacific Extension Network.
