This year's dinner will be an extra special celebration to mark the 40th anniversary our founding in 1984!

Master of Ceremonies - Tom Ballard

“A very strong hour of acerbic comedy with a socialist bent.” That's how The Age described Tom Ballard's 2023 Melbourne International Comedy Festival show. Tom is a multi-award winning comedian across stage, screen, and radio in Australia and around the world.

Keynote speaker - Mohamed Mayara

Living in occupied Western Sahara, Mohamed is a journalist, political activist, human rights defender and a trade unionist. He is a co-founder and coordinator of Equipe Media, which aims to document Morocco’s repression against those who work for a free Western Sahara.

Tickets include a wonderful meal by Shamiat Syrian Restaurant with drinks, served by the fabulous Fringe Common Rooms, at bar prices. 

Please note, food is served buffet style and mostly prepared off site. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options will be plentiful and available to everyone.
