REGISTRATION CLOSES 31st JULY 2026
On behalf of the Australian Paediatric Orthopaedic Society (APOS) and the Paediatric Orthopaedic Society of New Zealand (POSNZ), we are delighted to invite you to attend the 2026 Instructional Course and Annual Scientific Meeting.
We are excited to announce that the meeting will be held over four days at the Millennium Hotel, Queenstown, bringing together leading experts and colleagues from across Australia, New Zealand and beyond.
The 2026 program will focus on CP, Foot & Ankle, Lower Limb, Hip, Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH), SUFE and Upper Limb, and will feature our popular Top Gun hands-on practical stations, offering invaluable experiential learning opportunities.

Combined APOS/POSNZ Invited Speaker
We are pleased to announce the invited international speaker for the combined APOS/POSNZ Annual Scientific Meeting:
Dr Kishore Mulpuri
Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, BC Children’s Hospital
Head, Department of Orthopaedics, University of British Columbia
Dr Mulpuri will join our New Zealand and Australian faculty in delivering an exceptional and informative program.
Our international guests will collaborate with leading New Zealand and Australian faculty to deliver an outstanding educational experience. We strongly encourage all registrars to attend and take advantage of this comprehensive program.
Exam Trials
In 2026, we will introduce invited exam trial sessions. If applicable, eligible candidates will receive an email invitation once arrangements are confirmed with both colleges and closer to the meeting date.

Abstract Submission Now Open
We are now accepting abstract submissions for podium presentation at the POSNZ/APOS Combined Meeting in Queenstown, 29th August 2026.
We encourage all delegates and POSNZ/APOS members to submit their paediatric orthopaedic research for consideration by Monday, 29th June 2026.
Submission Requirements
Abstracts must be submitted via the online form and include the following:

Primary Associated Health Service or Institution
Body of Abstract (Maximum 250 words) structured as:

Methods
Results
Conclusion
Please note: No tables, charts, or images are to be included in abstract submissions.
Abstracts will be assessed on scientific merit and their capacity to inform and improve clinical care.
If selected, the presenting author is expected to register for the conference and present in person. Podium presentations must include a declaration of any potential conflicts of interest and address relevant ethics approval considerations. Presentations should run for 8 minutes, followed by 2 minutes of question time.
