Applied Manual Therapy — 3. Upper Extremity
Hands-On Learning for Therapists Who Want More
Session 3 of the Applied Manual Therapy series focuses on the upper extremity, covering the arm, elbow and wrist presentations you'll recognise from clinical practice.
What You'll Learn
Biceps Tendinopathy: Learn to palpate and treat the biceps tendon and surrounding musculature, from the shoulder through to the elbow, picking up where Session 2's rotator cuff work left off and understanding why the two so often present together.
Lateral & Medial Epicondylalgia: Learn to palpate and treat the wrist extensor and flexor groups at the elbow, and pick up the hands-on differences that separate tennis and golfer's elbow from a nerve entrapment mimicking either.
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome: Learn to palpate and assess the forearm flexors and thenar muscles, building the full hands-on exam from provocation testing through to reading thenar muscle strength and bulk.
Clinical Reasoning: Build the skill of feeling, interpreting, deciding, and adapting, not just following protocols.
