Hands-On Learning for Therapists Who Want More

Session 5 of the Applied Manual Therapy series focuses on the lower extremity, covering the knee, lower leg, and foot presentations you'll recognise from clinical practice.

What You'll Learn

  • Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome & Knee Dysfunction: Learn to palpate and treat the quadriceps, IT band, and TFL, building hands-on skills to address the muscle imbalances that underlie anterior knee pain. Rectus femoris and sartorius reappear here from a different angle, having already come up in Session 4 as part of the reasoning behind Lower Crossed Syndrome.

  • Lower Leg: Shin Splints & Achilles Tendinopathy: Learn to palpate and treat the calf and deep compartment muscles behind these presentations, and pick up the hands-on signs that separate true shin splints from its less common variants.

  • Plantar Fasciitis & Ankle Sprains: Learn to palpate and treat the plantar fascia directly, and build the technique skills for the peroneal muscles' role in ankle stability and sprain recovery.

  • Clinical Reasoning: Build the skill of feeling, interpreting, deciding, and adapting, not just following protocols.

What's Included

✓ Comprehensive digital participant manual (print-ready PDF)

✓ Certificate of Attendance for CPD claiming

✓ Small group format, limited to 12 participants

Who This Is For

Massage Therapists

Physiotherapists

You already work with your hands every day. This workshop develops the palpation depth and clinical clarity to make every treatment more intentional.

For practitioners who believe that what you feel under your hands matters as much as what you know, and want to develop both.

CPD Recognition

This workshop is eligible for CPD/CPE points with AMT, ATMS, and AHPRA (Physiotherapy Board). Full guidance on how to claim your points is available at fitmuscletherapy.com
