Dean Widders

Dean Widders is a former Parramatta Eels star and NRLW coach who has turned his passion for rugby league into a powerful platform for mentoring and leadership. As a proud Anaiwan man, Dean's journey from country NSW to the NRL spotlight – playing for the Roosters, Eels, and Rabbitohs – was fuelled by strong mentors who believed in his potential. Now a respected coach, media personality, and Indigenous Wellbeing Manager at the NRL, Dean works with the game’s rising stars to help them thrive on and off the field. At this event, Dean will share what great mentorship looks like – on the footy field and in the workplace – and why investing in young people is good for business, culture, and community.
