Filmbites April School Holiday Workshops are here (and all across Perth!) 

These April School Holidays Filmbites are running their movie-related holiday program all across Perth. We've got discounted acting and movie making workshops in Butler and Rockingham as well as our home base in Malaga!

Junior Screen Acting (Butler  / Rockingham)

This workshop is an introduction to acting in front of the camera! If you want to learn the important differences between stage and screen acting through creating your own scene this workshop is for you!

BUTLER: Wednesday 16th of April, 10am - 3pm. Butler Community Centre, 55 Kingsbridge Blvd, Butler. Ages 8 - 12. Doors open at 9:45am and close at 3:15pm

ROCKINGHAM: Thursday 17th of April, 10am - 3pm. Hillman Hall, 29 Unnaro St, Hillman. Ages 8 - 12. Doors open at 9:45am and close at 3:15pm

Make a Movie (Butler / Malaga / Rockingham)

Learn the ins and outs of Filmmaking in this three day workshop. All participants are hands on in camera equipment, directing, acting and more! At the end of the three days participants will walk away with their own group film as well as the skills to plan, film and edit a short film.

MALAGA: Tuesday 22nd, Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th of April; 10am - 3pm. Filmbites 6/31 Oxleigh Drive Malaga. Ages 10 - 17. Doors open at 9:45am and close at 3:15pm daily.

Makeup SFX (Malaga)

Tuesday 15th of April, 11am - 1pm. Filmbites, 6/31 Oxleigh Drive Malaga. Ages 10 - 17. Doors open at 10:45am and close at 1:15pm.

Taught by industry professional Stephanie Davis, learn the technical skills of Makeup SFX through the fun of doing it!

Game Design  (Malaga)

Tuesday 15th of April, 10am - 3pm. Filmbites 6/31 Oxleigh Drive Malaga. Ages 8 - 12. Doors open at 9:45am and close at 3:15pm

Why just play games when you can learn how to make them. In this workshop you’ll learn how to make 3 different types of games, using Gamemaker software, then get to play each others games. Super fun day for gamers!

Animation (Malaga)

Wednesday 16th of April, 10am - 3pm. Filmbites, 6/31 Oxleigh Drive Malaga. Ages 8 - 12. Doors open at 9:45am and close at 3:15pm

 Learn the interface and navigation for Tahoma2D, a free software you can learn to use to create super fun animations. This is an exceptional skill to learn if you ever wish to work in the growing entertainment, content creation and resources industries.
