In this online session, special guest Dr Mary Kelly from the Australian Research Council will discuss key elements of the Linkage Program and share tips for crafting a competitive application, with a focus on Linkage Projects and the two Industrial Transformation Research Program schemes: Training Centres and Research Hubs. Together, these schemes aim to encourage and extend cooperative approaches to research, and improve the use of research outcomes by strengthening links within the innovation system in Australia and internationally.

Participants will gain insights into how to more effectively develop and position collaborative research projects with business, industry organisations, community organisations and other publicly-funded research agencies to be attractive to the ARC, with a view to delivering tangible and long-lasting benefits for end users.

Dr Kelly is the ARC’s Executive Director for Biological Sciences and Biotechnology. She brings a research background in biochemistry and microbiology to the strategic policy and operational activities she undertakes for the ARC as one of the Executive Directors. A former DVCR with Charles Sturt University, Dr Kelly has over 20 years’ experience driving performance and culture, predominantly in research, leading and integrating strategic agendas across organisations and sectors and pursuing research-related initiatives in complex organisations nationally and internationally.
