Module 5 – Introduction to Music and Hymns

Led by Ms Becky Llewellyn

Thursdays, 7pm – 8.30pm, 16 October – 6 November (I session per week for 4 weeks)

St Richard of Chichester Anglican Church, Lockleys

In this module, participants will learn and practise new skills in music reading and hymn selection to develop confidence in choosing hymns that are relevant to the church calendar and appealing to congregations, contributing to music planning in their parishes, and leading participation in making music together. Participants will use the Australian Lectionary (2025 Year C) and the Together in Song (TIS) hymnal. Using TIS, participants will learn how to find appropriate music, read a melody line, and plan music for different moods and seasons.
