Join us for an afternoon walk through Archerfield Wetlands! This event is free and open to LGBTQIA+ folks and allies of all experience levels.

With 150-hectare of nature to explore, Archerfield Wetlands is one of Brisbane’s best birding locations, boasting a variety of habitats, including eucalypt forest, grasslands, freshwater wetlands and creek systems. With an eBird count of 177, there are plenty of birds to be seen, including raptors, finches, fairywrens, ducks and more! If time permits, we may also explore the Archerfield Lookout Trail which overlooks the edge of the wetlands.

There is no direct public transport to the location, but a bus stop is available 15 minutes walk away along Glenala Rd.

Accessibility: We will be exploring the Southern part of the Wetlands, which includes paved paths or compact gravel. We welcome those of all ages joining us out in nature, but please note anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a trusted adult. This is a pet-free event.
