Get ready for a sexy, fun & dynamic dance series that explores Feminine Archetypes, different dance styles and sexy sisterhood!

Over 7 weeks you will learn 7 different dance routines, from dancehall, to sensual floorwork, to sexy heels, to emotive contemporary dance and more. These different routines will allow you to explore and access different expressions of what it is to be a Woman.

Each week we will spend 45min on a short routine based on the Archetype we’re exploring (e.g., Wild Woman, Lover, Huntress etc.) and the second hour will be dedicated to learning the QUEEN routine which will be filmed in the final week of the series.

The professional recording of the performance will be a gift to yourself and remembrance of your journey. This will be filmed by the incredible and talented Bree Billington and sent in formats compatible for Instagram and YouTube.

What is the Archetypal ALKEMY Framework?

Archetypal ALKEMY is a framework created by Dr. Jae West and provides a framework of exploring and understanding the multitude of feminine expressions that live within each woman. It uses a multi-levelled approach that acknowledges the importance of the mind, body, emotions and spirit in the patterns that we live out and how we show up in the world.

Body - we look at different dance styles, movement patterns and how to hardness these to bring out different feminine expressions

Mind - we look at the psychology, motivation and intellectual framework to allow the mind to grasp and understand that patterns that it lives out, including it's gifts, it's cycles, it's triggers & it's safety mechanisms

Spirit - understanding the chakra system and how that links into the subtle energetics of which feminine archetypes we gravitate to and what we get triggered/afraid of

Emotions - we use archetypes or characters as a way of accessing different emotional embodiments that allow us to learn, grow and thrive

Each of the weeks has a feeling and dance style that it draws from to allow you to navigate and explore each archetype and different movement patterns.'

This is a super fun & play-based exploration of DANCE, sisterhood & Feminine Archetypes where you will walk away feeling empowered & playful having learnt a new skill set and confidence to share that with others.

This series is limited to 12 women only

This is to ensure that each woman feels supported in gaining confidence in themselves and their dance.

The whole series is $650 ($200 deposit to secure your place with payment plans available).

QUESTIONS

Do I need to know about the chakra system?

Not at all, Dr. Jae will guide you through anything you need to know

Do I need to have any dance experience?

No, Jae has worked with everyone from professional dancers to women that have never been on stage before and feel like they have 2 left feet. She will work with where you’re at and support in any way that’s needed. In a series environment there also time for progressive support to work it's magic. Trust the process.

What if I can’t make all the sessions?

If you aren’t able to make any of the sessions then a private 1:1 session can be arranged with Jae for only $80, including the studio hire fee.

Can you pay in instalments?

Yes, as long as you are settled before the series starts on Oct 21st you are able to organise a payment plan directly with Jae by messaging her. Please purchase the ‘deposit’ ticket to reserve your spot are places are limited then organise with Jae you’re desired payment plan.

ABOUT DR. JAE WEST, PhD

Dr. Jae West is an electric and mesmerising performer and choreographer. She has over a decade’s experience taking to the stage and teaching others to reclaim their birth-right of authentic and expressive dance.

Jae started her professional career as a podium dancer and choreographer for the Drag Queens of Perth as a teenager. This extravagant and colourful start to her dance career lead her to a number of pathways within dance. Her credits include:

- Choreographing and dancing for pop princess, Rozalla, during her 'Everybody's Free' Australian Tour performance at Connections Nightclub

- Being a previous member of the dance crew 'Mixed Tape', an all-women’s dance crew that placed 3rd in the 2012 Battlegrounds dance competition in WA

- Co-founding the social movement The Liberators with Peter Sharp and spending months touring both Europe and the US facilitating and attending ecstatic dances and festivals

- Founder of Archetypal ALKEMY framework

- Danced for incredible powerhouse singer Deya Dova at Flow Festival

- Choreographer and performer in the performance group, The Hairy Godmothers

- Previous teacher at three dance academy’s The Dance Collective, Amongst Queens and Cipher Dance Academy

Jae facilitates an exciting, playful, and saucy spaces for women to explore the relationship that they have with themselves, their body, and sisterhood.

Her teachings aim to re-inspire a sense of curiosity and gratitude for the lessons that the body can teach us through movement and through sisterhood.
