Archibald Event

We warmly welcome you to join us: 

In partnership with the Art Gallery of NSW, we are proud to host a special event celebrating the Archibald Prize—highlighting in particular the incredible achievements of the three finalists who are members of the Down Syndrome NSW community. 

The afternoon will begin with a welcome and Acknowledgment of Country, followed by a guided tour of the Archibald exhibition in small groups. After the tour, guests are invited to enjoy afternoon tea and take part in creative workshops led by Archibald finalists. 

This is the fourth Archibald Event ran with the Art Gallery of NSW.

📍Art Gallery of NSW, Art Gallery Road, Sydney, NSW 200

🚌 Bus 441 –Departs from the York Street side of Queen Victoria Building (Stand D) and drops off near the Art Gallery. Returns to Queen Victoria Building, picking up outside the Art Gallery. 

🚉 Train – St James and Martin Place stations are both about 10 minutes walk. 

🅿️ Meter parking – On Mrs Macquaries Road and other streets around the Art Gallery. 

Parking stations – There are several car parks near the Art Gallery. The closest are the Domain Car Park and The Wharf, Woolloomooloo Car Park, both of which can be booked in advance online. Note changes to access from the Domain Car Park: The lift closest to the Art Gallery is not operational as it is being replaced by Wilson Parking There are stairs, and the car park’s south lift remains operational.
