Architecture: As simple as love? — Public Talk by Andrew Broffman
Event description
Lecture Description
Love, relationship, agency, affinity, proximity, positioning, doubt. What does an architectural practice committed to social and spatial justice look like? This is the question that Solidarity asks.
The answer may reside in a practice that is grounded in love and care: care for Country, love for others. But practice is difficult and so is love. They are easily distracted. They resist perfection. They are never complete. So where to begin?
Positioning: who we are and where we fit. Not at the centre of a dizzying world, but in the milky constellation of revealing relationships.
This event is part of UTS School of Architecture’s Solidarity public program and will be be jointly introduced by Dr Endriana Audisho (Public Programs Director) and Dr Campbell Drake (Senior Lecturer).
