With the 2026 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras just 6 months away, we thought it would be a good excuse for a get-together to start planning our next incredible Mardi Gras Parade float.
Ever wanted to see your design surrounded by people dancing down Oxford Street? Now’s your chance to make it happen! Our friends at Architectus are hosting a design workshop for our Sydney folks to get those creative juices flowing. Come for a catch up, meet new people in your community, and think up something dazzling!
This event will tie in to our annual Mardi Gras Float Design Competition. Official competition dates and details TBC, pending updates from SGLMG. Watch this space, or come along and get a head start on your fabulous proposal. The winning design will receive $500!
For those that can’t make it, download a copy of our truck outline and put those design skills to use! We’re looking for ideas and sketches that could be turned into our next float - go wild... within reason!
