On Nov. 11, 1918, after more than four years of horrific fighting and the loss of millions of lives, the guns on the Western Front fell silent. Although fighting continued elsewhere, the armistice between Germany and the Allies was the first step to ending World War I.

Join historian, Gregor Campbell for a free guided tour of the Andersons Bay Cemetery to remember some of the local men who served and suffered in the Great War - and after. Many never returned but are remembered by family in the cemetery.

Tour is one hour long.
Meet in the carpark of the Anderson's Bay cemetery in the corner closest to the main entrance. You'll see Gregor and his hat, he can't be missed!
Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. The cemetery has very little shade so, on a hot day wear sun protection and bring drinking water.

Children 9 and under probably won't appreciate the stories but they don't need a ticket and can enjoy the wide open space at their will.
