Kurt Iveson is Professor of Urban Geography at the University of Sydney. As an urban geographer, he works to understand the processes that shape urban life, and to figure out how we can democratise those processes to make more equitable and sustainable cities. He tries to put ideas about urban citizenship into practice through his active involvement in unions and civil society coalitions like the Sydney Alliance. He’s also a regular media commentator on urban politics and planning in Sydney.

Jess Cook is a Sydney based place and program designer. She is the CEO and Founding Member of 107 Projects Incorporated. Under her strategic direction the organisation has established itself as indispensable to the communities it serves. Cook’s strength is in maintaining the organisation's grass-roots philosophy while expanding its reach and establishing a reputation for artistic excellence and genuine community engagement.

Cook thrives on collaboration, curiosity and adventure. Working across community, government and corporate arenas, she has developed and produced cultural and social initiatives for TEDx Sydney, City of Sydney, Mirvac, Sydney Contemporary, Sculpture by the Sea, VIVID and Sydney Festival.
