During an art class, students will be provided with easels, brushes, paints, and canvas.
There will be step-by-step instructions on how to prepare the background, sketch, and paint the oranges growing on the tree. What consistency to use, how to manipulate your brush to get finer strokes and larger strokes in certain areas to make them look realistic and vivid. In addition, how to blend the colors so the paint blends smoothly.
In addition, I will demonstrate how to make shadows, reflections, bends in leaves, and perfectly round orange shapes, as well as the curved branches.
There are many ways to do the painting, using different techniques. Having a reference of how I do it is great, but to be able to create your own style and paint in your own unique way, combining realism and abstract would be a lot more interesting.
Acrylics dry quickly and are also a forgiving medium, which means mistakes can be easily corrected.
