Art Classes Kids 5 - 8 yrs Thursdays (4 Classes)

Our Kid's 4 week art term gives children the opportunity to explore their creative side under the guidance of our tutor Jane. This is the starting point for little ones where we want to instil a love of art instead of focusing heavily on representational technique.

Throughout the term, Jane from Shoebox studio will cover a variety of mediums using a range of techniques to use and make art with it. Jane will start the class with a basic description of what they will be doing in class, explaining and demonstrating what to aim for. Jane will then let the kids use their own imagination, interpretation of instructions and allow them to follow & develop their own art instincts to make art. With Younger kids, a strong focus is placed on play and experimentation. While there would be an example of what to aim for, we really want kids to build up their confidence in making art through trying, testing and playing with making marks and have fun with different art mediums for example watercolour, clay, crayon, acrylic paints etc.

A program of classes will be given at the start of the term but please note that they can change as Jane accommodates the wants and needs of the students as the term progresses. 

All materials and tuition are included in the enrolment fee, however it is recommended that you supply your child with an art smock as creativity can get messy!
