Art Exhibition by Gazan Artists
Event description
Join us for a day of culture, connection and purpose at the Art Exhibition by Gazan Artists
The pop-up exhibition will feature powerful and thought-provoking artworks created by talented artists in Gaza as they navigate everyday challenges while living through genocide and continue to face displacement, economic collapse and a shortage of food, water and medical supplies.
To respect and appreciate the cultural significance of the artworks on display, they will be available to purchase on a donation basis throughout the exhibition. 100% profits will be donated to the artists. We encourage people who are unable to purchase an artwork to also join us to show solidarity.
- Date: Saturday 26 April 2025
- Time: 3pm-7pm
- Venue: Studio 551, 551E King St, Newtown
Artworks that will be displayed at the exhibition have been created by artists in Gaza to express their perspectives and emotions as they struggle with oppression, displacement and uncertainty for the future of their people.
The exhibition is free entry for all with food and drinks available for purchase.
