Held in Community: An Exhibition of Art, Hope and Recovery
Description
No Ticket Required – Visit Anytime During Queensland Mental Health Week!
Step into a creative and inspiring exhibition celebrating hope, connection and recovery.
Featuring more than 20 artworks created by members of the Eating Disorders Queensland (EDQ) community, including people with lived/living experience of eating disorders, carers, family members, and loved ones, this exhibition shares personal stories through art, creativity, and lived experience.
Eating disorders can be incredibly isolating. This exhibition offers a welcoming space to connect, reflect and learn, while helping to reduce stigma and build understanding within the community.
Visitors can explore original artworks, read lived-experience stories, listen to a song created by EDQ community members, and access information about eating disorders, recovery, and support services.
Whether you have a personal connection to eating disorders, love local art, support mental health awareness, or are simply curious to learn more, everyone is welcome.
This exhibition is free and open to the public.
Proudly funded by the Queensland Government through the Queensland Mental Health Commission and coordinated by the Queensland Alliance for Mental Health as part of Queensland Mental Health Week.
