Event description

Take control of your life and improve your wellbeing

Do you often feel exhausted or stressed? you may feel you are working harder and longer but achieving less? Do you feel life is ‘busy’ and out of balance? Maybe you ‘know what you ‘should’ do but you can’t bridge the behaviour gap to making lasting changes.

Blending the research and science on wellbeing with practical take aways in a relaxed setting, this engaging workshop aims to give you the space and support to gain more balance in your life.

We will talk about signs of stress and burnout, the importance of the body and brain connection and how to make changes to your day to day with practical exercises and ‘take aways’.

About Alison (Our Speaker)

Hi there, I’m Alison, a Lincoln local, busy working mum to my daughter Flo and wife to hubby Peter, a number of years ago I was struggling with yo-yoing weight, fluctuating confidence and anxiety after my daughter was born critically ill. I felt frustrated and stressed, juggling life and I longed for more balance and reclaiming ‘me’.

Working in project management, I already had a psychology degree and experience as an accredited coach so although I “knew” some of the strategies for change there seemed to be a “behaviour gap’ between ‘knowing’ and ‘doing’ so I started my company ‘Busy to Better’. I now use my skills and experience combined with the latest research in health and wellbeing to help others with creating sustainable behaviour changes.

Balance is very important to me and I like to take a complete view of wellbeing, understanding the role of stress, relaxation, mindset and positive psychology, focusing on the brain/ body connection and combining this with a very practical proven ways of integrating changes into day to day life.

l also offer 1-1 coaching to delve deeper into enabling change, corporate wellbeing sessions and events – my details are below if you would like to connect. I’m interested to hear what topics you may find helpful to learn more about so please get in touch.
Take care,
Alison
