Art on Saturdays: Colour linocuts with Fleur Rendell
Event description
Art on Saturdays: Colour linocuts with Fleur Rendell
Make your own colour linocut print using the unconventional approach of cutting up the lino block into smaller ‘puzzle like’ parts. This enables many colours to be printed within the one image and is quicker than traditional techniques. We will begin by planning the composition with a drawing/collage of shapes. Learn how to transfer these shapes to the lino and carve/cut them out, ink them up and print them! This workshop will suit beginners and those who have previous printmaking experience. Please bring any ideas, sketches and photos that you would like to explore.
