Art on Saturdays: Let’s Draw Botanicals with Janet Leith

Saturday 7 September, 1PM—4PM
This drawing workshop investigates the intricacies of botanical plants. Participants will be given the opportunity to refresh their approaches to drawing using both memory and observation, whilst focusing on individual plant shapes, lines, textures, tone and negative space.
Both the initial studies and a final detailed drawing will be produced in response to a range of plant subjects, allowing participants to explore and discover an individual approach and technique in their drawings.
A variety of materials and mediums such as graphite, charcoal, ink, and soft pastels will be explored.
About the Artist:
Janet Leith is an experienced artist and teacher. She is passionate about teaching a wide range of techniques and mediums, all focusing on the development of individual styles and ideas.
