Art + Law is designed to provide artists and other art professionals with an introduction to the main legal aspects to consider when starting or running an art practice. The audience will be guided through select topics such as: copyright, contracts, effective cataloguing, Artist/Dealer relationships and more. Art + Law will be an interactive talk with the opportunity for questions and discussion.
About Nuha
Nuha Fathina, is a local legal professional who has worked in the arts for a number of years. In 2025, she published her first article in the New Zealand Law Journal on artist copyright. She is interested in the nexus between art and law and aims to improve legal access for artists and creative institutions. Nuha holds a degree in Law from the University of Canterbury and a Diploma in Law and Collections Management from the Institute of Art and Law (UK).
