Art Sparks Studio School Holiday Art Workshops - January 2025

Art Sparks Studio NZ is back again and we are celebrating the Summer Holiday with three new School Holiday Art Workshops in January 2025!

Art Sparks Studio offers a beautiful, fun and well thought out arts programme integrating Mathematics, Language, Geography, History, and of course Visual Arts for children aged 8-12 years old. Each day is themed and "sparked" by nature, world cultures and creations of renowned artists. We place great emphasis on mindfulness, self-awareness, individuality, life skills, movements and creativity. The workshops are purposely kept small to allow ample space for creation, nurturing each child's focus and unique abilities. 

Join us for one or two or ALL THREE days of the Art Sparks Studio School Holiday Art Workshop this January. Our workshop runs from 9:30am to 2:30pm each day.

Tuesday, 21st January 2025 - Forgotten Skills
We will revive some forgotten skills and explore basic sewing, weaving and the etiquette of writing a “Thank You” note to show appreciation and gratitude. We will learn the art of card-making and hand-made gifts by using a variety of materials.

Wednesday, 22nd January 2025 - Tech-Free Animation Lab
In this tech-free animation lab, we will experiment with drawing and pre-film animation techniques to create the illusion of movement. We will explore visual storytelling, draw sequences of images and bring them to life.

Thursday, 23rd January 2025 - The Printed Vase Still-Life
The gelli plates are back! We will enjoy layering colours and seeing the different results of using positive and negative shapes in printmaking and creating our very own unique still-life composition.

These workshops will be held in the heart of "Wellywood" at the beautiful Te Tūhunga Rau, 108 Strathmore Avenue, Strathmore Park, Wellington. 

Our school holiday art workshops are suitable for children aged 8-12 years old. Book now as spaces are strictly limited!
