In this illustrated talk, Alex Stoneman will discuss illustrations of stamps issued by postal authorities from around the world that have reproduced works of famous artists and other artistic commissions. He will provide fascinating insights into the design process involved in the production of these masterpieces in miniature.
Alex Stoneman has a distinguished career with the Victorian Education Department and is a long-term and much respected tutor with Maryborough U3A. He has collected and displayed stamps for over sixty years and was presented with an Award of Merit for his contribution to philately in Victoria.
