    Event description

How do you raise millions for a worthy cause?

Join Thinker in Residence Dr Nonie Brennan for a masterclass designed to explore how to leverage innovative funding methods for your project, program or organisation using the incredible case study from All Chicago.

    What is All Chicago?

All Chicago currently works with a coalition of 91 agencies to end homelessness in the US city of Chicago. Their mission is to unite community and resources to provide housing solutions for thousands of people. They do this through emergency financial assistance, community partnerships, data analysis, plus training and research, all aimed at preventing and ending homelessness.

    Who is Dr Nonie Brennan?

Nonie is an expert in homelessness prevention, innovative funding methods and collective impact and is our upcoming Thinker in Residence at the Don Dunstan Foundation.

Throughout Nonie's time at All Chicago there was a significant increase in funding, with US$1.2 million won in federal grants in 2016 alone. Nonie was also responsible for the securing, distributing and monitoring of over US$70 million of funding for Chicago's homelessness system. An astounding 94% of clients maintained their housing and 88% of clients reported that the financial assistance they had gained meant they were no longer in crisis.

Dr Brennan’s leadership over the past 15 years has seen an overall 25% reduction in homelessness in Chicago. In 2017 Dr Brennan was appointed as a Senior Advisor by the Institute of Global Homelessness.

    Why this event?

Use this once in a lifetime opportunity to learn from a world leading  fundraising expert. Take away actions plans based on real-life examples of fundraising, effective story telling, and partnerships.
