Hear from and ask questions to panellists Tamarind Taylor (JDAco), Harriet McKindlay (Fourfold Studio) and Tamara Scheiwe (Villian Studio) as they explore the role of good design, programming, and community connection in shaping a vibrant creative city, alongside the Ipswich Central Heart project

Tamarind Taylor (JDA Co.)
Tamarind is a Senior Associate and Project Architect at JDA Co., specialising in heritage conservation, adaptive reuse, and a broad range of sectors including culture, public infrastructure, commercial, education, and residential projects. She is recognised for her ability to cultivate strong client relationships and deliver projects that combine design excellence with practical solutions. A committed advocate for heritage architecture, Tamarind contributes to the field through both her professional practice and academic research. Her integration of sustainable design strategies and advanced technologies enhance the project environmental performance while respecting historical significance. Tamarind’s work combines a deep understanding of heritage with a practical, innovative approach to design, establishing her as a respected Architect in the field.

Harriet McKindlay (Fourfold Studio)
Harriet McKindlay is an Associate Director at Fourfold Studio who is passionate about human centred placemaking, collaborative community engagement and developing locally-led approaches to solve complex urban issues. Expertise in planning and design underpins her ability to draw meaningful insights from community aspirations to support citymaking decisions. She is well known for facilitating high-energy workshops that encourage dynamic collaboration between participants to ensure everyone leaves feeling heard, involved and empowered to be a part of the change.

Tamara Scheiwe (Villain Studio)
Tamara Scheiwe is a multi-disciplinary artist and creative producer with a passion for connecting art, design, and community. With a degree in Visual Communication from Queensland University of Technology, Tamara combines her expertise in graphic design and marketing to create vibrant events like The Plant Market and The Great Artist Market, as well as curate unique experiences for Ipswich Art Workshop in collaboration with the Ipswich Art Gallery team. Passionate about problem-solving and collaboration, she develops creative solutions tailored to clients' needs—whether it's crafting a brand identity, creating a visual language, or designing market events to attract new audiences to spaces across Brisbane and Ipswich.
