This workshop covers the skills, planning techniques and protocols relevant to developing programs, exhibitions or workshops for young audiences.

Topics:

  • Project planning resources such as risk management considerations for children and families

  • Child safe event policies and incident reporting

  • Event accessibility and supervision considerations

  • Designing exhibition and festival experiences for children and teens

  • Grant funding opportunities to support children’s art programs

  • Marketing and communication strategies for targeting young audiences, their families, parents/caregivers and schools

Please ensure that you arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the start time as the workshop will begin promptly.

About Olivia Everitt:

Olivia Everitt is a grant writer, arts consultant and workshop facilitator with over 14 years' of experience working with not-for-profits, local government and in the arts and cultural sector. Currently based in Gympie, Queensland, Olivia is passionate about working with clients and communities across Australia to support impactful arts and economic development outcomes.

Olivia holds a Master of Business (Arts and Cultural Management) from Deakin University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Visual Arts) from the Queensland University of Technology.
