Paul McDonald is a socially engaged artist, educator and curator whose personal practice explores masculinity and mental health. In this video Paul shares his experience in managing a diverse practice and demanding schedule while keeping creativity at the centre of his efforts.
With Co-Host Harriet Gillies he walks through his workspace showing techniques and methods he uses to effectively manage projects, deadlines, and work-flow to overcome creative blocks and generate new ideas into meaningful projects and bodies of work.
This Artist-2-Artist session aims to give you tools to clear your vision and confidence blocks and provide structure so you can better manage your creative practice.
This session is suitable for anyone with an interest in composition, Whether you are a musician, director, writer, performer, or stage/production manager, there will be something to take away from this session that will be valuable to your own creative practice.you do not need to have any practical experience with writing music; Nate will be aiming to demystify the process of scoring, and hopefully inspire new ways of thinking about, approaching, and working with music for the stage, from the creative to the technical.
