Artist-2-Artist On-Demand: Yoga Joy to Calm the Mind and Ignite Creativity with Anton

In this A2A Training session On-Demand, Anton will share how yoga can be used as a tool within your creative practice to allow you to experience a focused concentration, soften the mind and let potential creativity grow.

Anton's guided hatha yoga classes are designed to calm the mind and ignite creativity through the flow of breath and movement. The class is an attainable mix of mediation, breath work and postures accessible to all levels and artists. Use them as a daily warm-up, a break in your studio day, or when you need some mental space around an idea or process.

No prior knowledge or experience is necessary.

You will need:

- Comfortable clothing

- A yoga mat

- Some props or blocks if you use them

- A blanket

- A calm space to practice

- To put your phone on do not disturb or switch it off

About The Artist

Anton is a Sydney based mature artist and yogi who has navigated dance for the last 22 years. Working steadily in the industry as a performer, choreographer, dance filmmaker, project director, movement director, rehearsal director, and dance teacher. As a performer, Anton has worked with Dance North, Australian Dance Theatre, Tasdance, Legs on the Wall, Sydney Theatre Company, Australian Opera, and independents Shaun Parker, Meryl Tankard, Tanja Liedtke, and Martin del Amo.

Anton’s commissions and choreographies include work for art festivals, theatre projects, live TV events, dance on screen, ad-campaigns, music videos, and multimedia dance projects.

Anton is eternally grateful that yoga is a part of his life and practices daily. As a teacher, Anton has been guiding and teaching yoga to dancers throughout his career and in 2019 graduated with his 200hrs YTT at the Anahata Yoga Shala in Koh Phangan Thailand.
