Event description

What is an artist book?

An artist’s book is a medium of artistic expression that uses the form or function of the “book” as inspiration. Artists’ books embrace a range of approaches often experimenting with different materials to offer new ideas and interpretations of the world.

Workshop with Adrian Lockhart

Friday 13 October 10am-12pm, Manly Library

In celebration of Sydney Craft Week, join artist Adrian Lockhart and explore a concertina style artist book and an introduction to simple book binding for covers.

Experiment with a small blank concertina, inks, charcoal and more.

Adrian Lockhart's work is a response to light and line, from figurative to abstract, and covers all media from drawing, printmaking, painting and sculpture.
