Artist Book Workshop with Kylie Watson

Event description

What is an artist's book?

An artist’s book is a medium of artistic expression that uses the form or function of the “book” as inspiration. Artists’ books embrace a range of approaches often experimenting with different materials to offer new ideas and interpretations of the world.

Workshop with Kylie Watson

Tuesday 24 September, 12 - 3pm at Manly Library in the Creative Library.

Join artist Kylie Watson as she demonstrates the printmaking skills she uses to create her beautiful artist books.

Kylie Watson creates linocuts which she then sews into a scroll format using a variety of Japanese papers. She also create concertina style books using hand printed linocuts.
