Artist Briefing session and industry workshop - Open House Latrobe
Description
Open House Latrobe is an upcoming design festival for the whole community, celebrating the role of design in shaping the region’s future. We are seeking local artists to help create the visual identity of the festival.
All interested artists and creatives are invited to attend a Creative Briefing & Industry Workshop delivered in partnership with internationally renowned design agency Studio Payne.
Two session times are available: Thursday 7 May, 4–5:30pm OR 7–8:30pm
This workshop will:
Introduce the Open House Latrobe brand and ambitions
Unpack the design brief and expectations
Explore the role of artists in shaping visual identities
Provide practical guidance on working with graphic designers
Share tips for developing strong concept submissions
Offer the opportunity to ask questions and build confidence before applying
This workshop is open to all and designed to support artists at different career stages.

This is a unique opportunity to work in collaboration with a professional graphic design studio and have your work become part of Open House Latrobe’s cohesive festival brand.
Artists, photographers, makers and creatives are invited to submit an expression of interest with samples of their work and an initial concept approach. Three artists will be shortlisted and paid to fully develop their concepts, with one selected for final implementation across festival materials.
