Artist Talk + Community Conversation in the gallery
Event description
All are welcome to an artist talk and community conversation with students from the Princes2Kings mentorship program on Thursday, May 25 starting at 6:00 p.m. in the gallery at the WaterFire Arts Center.
Join the conversation where students share their experiences within Princes2Kings programs such as Metal Lab, Southside Chefs and Civil Discourse, highlighting the impact of these programs on forging connections with individuals, places, careers, and abundant opportunities.
The evening will take place within Merge, the largest to date One Gun Gone exhibition, which includes the unveiling of welded metal sculptures that were created in Metal Lab, a new collaboration between Princes 2 Kings, a Providence Boys and Girls Club teen program, One Gun Gone, and the Steel Yard. Three of the current ArtLab@WaterFire fellows were involved in creating these sculptures.
The artist talk and community conversation evening is free and open to all, RSVP encouraged as space is limited.
