Wetland Stories, Artist Talk and Community Presentation - Sharon Meredith and Coastal Waste Warriors

Sharon’s artwork for the Wetland Stories exhibition explores the work by community group Coastal Waste Warriors. The exhibition includes a portrait of Kirstin Field, founder of the Coastal Waste Warriors, along with a piece inspired by the Lucas Legacy Clean Up. Sharon will give insights to the creative process behind these works along with other pieces displayed in the exhibition. 

Coastal Waste Warriors has now been operating for over 4 years and through their monthly clean ups have collected over 4 tonnes of litter and 1000,000 individual pieces of litter. Hear their moving and inspiring story of how the group came to be and how it has evolved into a movement with several hundred volunteers who are reducing the litter and marine debris in our local waterways.
