Currently exhibiting work in The Condensery’s inaugural Harvest Biennial Volatile Terrain, Cassandra Hodgins in her new series draws upon her background as a botanical and nature illustrator with a passion for conservation and biodiversity. 

Through realistic representation, Hodgins prompts awareness and appreciation for her subject matter, revealing aspects of our valuable environment that are often unseen and hidden under the surface.

Come along to this artist talk to learn more about Cassandra Hodgins process of using scraperboard, as well as her enthusiasm for mycelium, a complex root-like structure of fungi essential to ecosystem health, nutrient intake and growth.
