Artist Talk, by Julia Holderness

Ōtautahi artist Dr Julia Holderness will be in conversation with SCAPE Public Art's Managing Curator Tyson Campbell at Hotel Montreal. They will discuss Julia's artwork, Figure Studies, which lights up the hotel frontage and her ongoing construction of the modernist artist-designer Florence Weir. Why invent an imaginary figure and what does it enable the 'real' artist to say?
