We are thrilled to invite you to an exclusive artist talk featuring the renowned artist, Dan Withey. This event will take place at Praxis Artspace on 23rd September 2023 @2pm - 4pm, in conjunction with his ongoing exhibition, Finite Bounty, which is running from 7th September to 7th October 2023.

Finite Bounty, Dan explores the concept of New Animism through his captivating visual art. Drawing from indigenous customs, beliefs, and modern scientific knowledge, his work emphasizes the interconnectedness of all beings and their inherent value.

Through his painted and printed works, Dan invites us to ponder the animist’s perspective and its influence on our behaviour and relationship with the Earth. His exhibition centers around the concept of the Web of Relationality, where all elements of nature are seen as interconnected nonhuman persons within a complex network of relationships.

This exhibition also addresses the urgent need to adapt to the impending climate crisis. By embracing a new animistic framework, Dan believes we can develop a more harmonious and sustainable way of living with the Earth. His art aims to inform the audience about the potential of new animism in addressing climate change, fostering a greater understanding of our surroundings, and inspiring positive action.
