Join Libby Harward as she leads her artist talk and reflects on her experience of trying to find her way in the art world and her art journey including recent travel and ‘Blak Laundry’ exhibition at TARNARNTHI 2025 - exhibiting, processes, the challenges and audience interaction.
Following the conversation, Libby will lead you through an engaged group session on grant writing, where you will learn practical grant writing skills and build your confidence in applying for and identifying the right grant for your project.
About Libby Harward:
Libby Harward is a Ngugi woman of Quandamooka and a leading contemporary conceptual Aboriginal artist. Her multidisciplinary practice includes video, sound, performative installations and public art.
Libby is the Founder and Director of Munimba-ja Art Centre and Gallery and committed to cultural and arts advocacy - active in community and educational initiatives that uphold and strengthen Indigenous knowledge. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally; disrupting colonial narratives, reclaiming cultural space, and asserting sovereignty through powerful visual and performative history-telling.
Please arrive by 11:15am to make a cuppa and get settled for a 11:30am start. Please bring a notebook, pen, highlighter and/or laptop + BYO Lunch.
