    ABOUT

Join us Thursday 27 September 2023 from 4.45PM as we learn more about the experiments, exhibitions and creations our Artists in Residence are working on during their visit to Canberra Glassworks.

This artist talk will be held at Canberra Glassworks and there will be an opportunity to chat with the glass community in the last half hour after the talk. Everyone is welcome and there are absolutely no silly questions. We are all here to learn.

    THE ARTISTS

Jordan Benson is a stained glass and oil painting artist based in Naarm (Melbourne). His work reflects both scenes and objects from his experiences living in Melbourne and the environments that surround him and his roots in graffiti art. Having graduated from Melbourne Polytechnic in 2022, Jordan intends to further develop his practice at the Glassworks by expanding into processes such as kiln forming to create new body of work.

Bronte Cormican-Jones is an emerging contemporary artist and writer working on Garrigal and Darramurragal land, Sydney, Australia. In 2022, Cormican-Jones graduated with first-class Honours from Sydney College of the Arts, where she studied Sculpture and Glass. Her current body of work explores relationships between architecture and the body through the ways that we interact with our reflections in glass and mirrors.
