Artist talk: Lindy Lee
Join us for an exclusive talk by artist Lindy Lee, as she presents her major exhibition Lindy Lee: Moon in a Dew Drop. This is a rare opportunity to hear from an Australian art icon, as Lee takes an in-depth look at her extraordinary practice and art making processes.
Lindy Lee is one of the most respected contemporary artists working in Australia today. She was born in Brisbane in 1954 to parents who emigrated from China. Working across a range of disciplines including painting, sculpture, installation and public art, Lee draws on her Australian and Chinese heritage to develop works that engage with the history of art, cultural authenticity, personal identity and the cosmos.
Exhibition organised and toured by the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia. This project has been assisted by the Australian Government’s Visions of Australia Program.
